The Story behind DCMS

In 2018, over a cup of coffee, a group of us were talking about how difficult it is for people navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme – especially with their first plans. We asked ourselves “Why can’t we make this easier for everyone?”

Throughout our lives and careers, we have supported many people to connect and liaise with service providers. Not only have we assisted people to navigate through services, we have helped them to be heard.

‘With combined personal and professional experiences, spanning over 30 years within disability, mental health, aged care, Allied Health, and management, we understand all sides. We know how hard it is to open up to strangers and to build trust. We just get it!’

Fast forward to 2020, we now have a dedicated team of highly experienced professional, caring and empathetic people who want to make the “complex” simple.

About Us



Tamara has a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Leadership.

Her expertise extends across all areas of Human Services. She has specialised in Human Resources, Learning & Development and Policy Writing. These skills have seen her take projects from infancy to state-wide development.

For more than 10 years of her career, Tamara has worked in all areas of the Disability Industry including Disability Support Worker, Service Coordinator and Facilitation Management.

Tamara is highly experienced in complex care, mental health, behaviour support, community, and home care.

Tamara’s passion is about seeing people live their best life!

DCMS aims to excel in the provision of supports through collaboration with participants, their family and stakeholders. We want people to succeed in their life and  wherever possible not to be reliant upon others.
